Walshaw Lodge, specializing in Dementia  and Alzheimers Care (EMI) is a long established residential home for the elderly set in its own grounds in the picturesque town of Prestatyn, located in Denbighshire, North Wales.

We are a family run Home caring for the many needs of people with Dementia. Owner and registered Manager,Mrs Lamb, is a qualified nurse who specialises in the care of the elderly. We are driven and encourage our staff to attain the highest level of training available. To that end our members of Care staff are highly trained in all aspects of elderly care. Our Care staff are presently enrolled on a recently developed Dementia Training Course that is provided to us by Bangor University. We are extremely proud of our staff training ethos and of our standing within the community, for our reputation as a provider of quality care.

In addition to our Care staff, we also have the benefit of diversional therapists who encourage and assist our service users, with regular visiting physiotherapist, dentist, optician, chiropodist, hairdresser; and doctors from all the local surgeries, with whom we have excellent relationships.

We offer a counselling service with information on subjects such as fees, funding and state benefits. This service is of course free and without obligation. There are Churches, shops and a post office in close proximity. We are on a direct bus route to the towns of Rhyl and Prestatyn.

Religious needs are catered for with 'in house' services. WALSHAW LODGE offers a choice of both single and companion rooms, all tastefully decorated and furnished. Service Users are welcome to make their rooms their own and are encouraged to bring with them personal possessions.
